Why do Rebublicans have to settle for McCain? There are still a lot of delegates that haven't been decided. Romney may have quit campaigning, but that doesn't mean that McCain is the only choice. Huckabee doesn't thrill too many voters. Ron Paul is on another planet. Are these the only possible candidates that are willing to call themselves Rebublicans? Is this really the best the Republican Party can do?
There are a lot of people who claim to be conservatives, but are they willing to step forward and lead the way?
Is it possible to have ideas with no one to lead the way? We cannot just put ideas on the ballot. Someone will have to step up and say "Follow Me." Too many conservatives would rather write books and appear on talk shows rather than wear the mantle of leadership. Conservatives have a lot of idea people who seem to lack the fortitude necessary for leadership. They talk a good show, but they are not willing to charge into battle to defeat the enemy. They can always write books lamenting the decline of the country and whine about it to other weak-kneed conservatives.
Maybe it takes a good woman to be a real man.
